As the epidemiological traffic light system changes, Mexican companies are beginning to adapt their workspaces with new furniture, sanitary measures, and more technology to ensure their continuity and protect their employees, adapting to a new normal.
The government proposed a series of rules to ensure safe arrival at the facilities. As activities gradually resumed, many companies opted to keep a record of employees upon arrival, following a specific protocol:
- Take the temperature
- Shoe sanitization
- Garment sanitization (in some cases)
- Ask verbally if they had any symptoms
- Proper hand washing or use of gel
- Use of face masks
- Use of face shield or protective goggles
Based on this, a log was kept, allowing for a record of employees attending the facilities. This enabled the company to monitor staff and, if someone with symptoms was detected, to act immediately, locate those who may have been in contact with the infected person, and develop an action plan to prevent the spread of infection and keep them under observation. This made many employees feel safer when returning to their work at the facilities.
Each company seeks the best method or the one that best suits its work system, but always keeping in mind the safety of the staff in this new normal.
These measures to be implemented serve as support to care for and act in any situation, thus better protecting the staff.
