Clean technologies are those that, when applied, produce no side effects or disrupt the environmental balance. They are based on sustainability and primarily use natural and renewable resources such as aerothermal, geothermal, and hydrothermal energy.
The main reason for the existence of so-called "clean technologies" is none other than to reverse the global environmental imbalance that affects us all.
Some of the objectives of clean technologies are based on three main pillars:
- Reducing pollution in traditional industry. (The fate of industrial waste)
- To renew industrial processes in a technological and environmental way. (Optimizing the production circuits themselves).
- To create an industrial globalization within the framework of sustainable development (The global generalization of this technological culture)

Types of clean technologies
Within clean technology there are branches or categories that have a common goal but in different strategic sectors, some of these are:
- Energy sectorThe main objective is to maintain our current economic model by replacing energy sources such as nuclear power plants and petroleum derivatives. Examples include energy sources that harness neutral energy, such as wind, solar, and tidal power.
- Hydraulic sectorIt's mainly about not wasting drinking water or directly discarding water that has been used by humans. It's about reusing water in other ways and thus not wasting it.
- logistics sectorThey focus on optimizing and enhancing efficiency to reduce expenses and, consequently, increase profits. This has a secondary benefit that is often used as a form of corporate advertising.
- Waste treatment and management sector. This sector is the broadest, encompassing everything from waste recycling to product reuse. Examples of product reuse include soft drink containers used by bars and restaurants.
- Textile sector. It is one of the most polluting sectors due to the fabric manufacturing and cutting process, but some companies have now opted for wastewater treatment plants, where wastewater is treated for decontamination and purification. This also applies to the manufacture of fabrics using natural fibers, such as cotton or linen.
There are different sectors in which the implementation of these technologies has begun, but it is a task that takes time, since it involves forming a culture completely different from the traditional one, but which is necessary for the well-being of the ecosystem.
